Sample Essays For a Compare and Contrast Essay

Sample Essays For a Compare and Contrast EssayA compare and contrast essay uses the same topics as a thesis essay but is used for a general test instead of a college paper. The goal is to prove that your chosen topic has been discussed and compared to others in prior essay topics. By concentrating on the same primary research or topic, you can easily take one of three different routes:The first and most common route, the compare and contrast essay, is used by nearly all students to clear up misconceptions they may have regarding a given subject. This type of essay is often used in an introductory course, where topics are often unfamiliar to the majority of students, and should not be used in introductory courses with theoretical topics. The second route, therefore, is to conduct the basic task of proving that a topic has already been studied. In other words, you will compare and contrast the knowledge a person has about a given topic with the opinions and ideas expressed about it. You must prove the topic has already been written about before presenting a sample comparison. The third and most difficult route is to show that a topic has already been researched but that it has not been properly presented to the student. Here, you must present and compare ideas about a particular topic. The best samples to use when doing a compare and contrast essay are those that have the same subject as the topic at hand. Some examples are: Religion, Politics, Science, etc. As a student, you can choose these subjects and present examples of each.As the primary research is done, select specific topics to illustrate how the topic has been analyzed before. For example, you could choose any major event in history from your choice of religion. If you choose the age of discovery, this allows the reader to see how different topics are analyzed. The book review can be used to show how the subject has been analyzed before but did not receive the recognition it deserved due to its inability t o provide the answers that the primary research did. Examples of books may include the medical textbook and Wikipedia, but also any other book on the topic is found in. For instance, a study about the Bible can be presented using the science book as a model. The best approach when conducting a compare and contrast essay is to write about a topic that you know nothing about. In this way, you will gain an understanding of the topic and then provide an idea or two about how it was handled by prior research. The point is to prove that the topic has already been studied and researched and will not be the topic of another essay.
